In this piece, I wanted to convey a sense of mystery about the leopard. The Black Leopard tells the story of an exotic animals daily life, yet leaves the viewer curious about the leopard's surroundings. The damask background adds an element of glamour and elegance to an otherwise strictly storytelling work. The piece's elegance is perhaps my favorite part!
